We tend to think of conversion as something that happens and is then finished. Open, close, done. But conversion is a lifelong process. If I’ve learned one thing in the last five years of blogging about life at the intersection of faith, family and the written word, that’s it. My sister, a nun, never takes “permanent” vows as her devotion to the church is continual. It’s an interesting concept – that her commitment is reaffirmed annually.

I enjoyed the article. Conversion, like catechesis is a life-long endeavor. I think for me it is because as my experiences in life change, so does my understanding of God, his will for me and my faith.
