I have been visiting Pinnacles Youth Park, in north central Missouri, since I was fourteen years old and my church youth group took a trip there. One day when my daughter was a nursing baby, I took her out there and fed her at the side of the creek facing the rock ridge. We both fell asleep, and when we woke up, I strapped her into the Snugli and we took a walk. I said to myself, “Wouldn’t this be a great setting for a book?”
That was the moment TRUST FALLS was born.
On this page, you’ll find a gallery of the park that I re-envisioned as Charley Dupree’s beloved Sentinels. But I made up the rainbow house. 🙂
