Sunday Snippets: A Catholic Carnival

My weekends have been busy the last several weeks, and I’ve been forgetting to join the carnival! But I got rousted from bed today (Saturday) at 4:45a.m. by a smoke alarm whose battery was low and felt it necessary to wake the household. (Why can’t they do this during the day????) So I have time to get it done this morning.

Here, then, are my contributions, covering several weeks, I’m afraid…

God in the Middle, Round 2 – a review of a book by Donald Miller, which sparked some good comments, including one that I eventually turned into its own post.

The story of nursing my daughter Julianna, who has Down syndrome.

On Labor Day, I guest posted over at Catholic Mothers Online about fiction that supports our faith. And I’m still interested in picking other people’s brains on the topic!

My post on Ending the Mommy Wars hit Word Press’s Freshly Pressed.

One morning, God rewarded me for getting out of bed and running with an amazing dawn.

And finally, I just have to share this note that my new Kindergartener wrote for me–without help!
