  1. Oh my! Congrats! A beautiful little boy!!! May his NICU stay be brief. (And we tend to have drama with our births too. 2 early morning emergency c-sections…okay maybe the third wasn’t too dramatic). Hope you are getting some rest and doing well!

  2. Oh wow! Early baby! He is so sweet and aren’t YOU a rock star for getting this posted! Get some rest, Mama, and many prayers and congratulations to you! xoxoxo

  3. congrats from this fellow c-section nicu drama mom! he looks great!!! (not just saying that — he looks really good. the temperature heart and the leads will disappear soon.)

  4. Oh my goodness! What a surprise! Love the name. He’s just beautiful. And pretty good sized for 3 weeks early. I’m keeping him in my prayers — and you.

I have to second that: You’re one cool mom for getting this posted already via an iPhone. God bless!

  5. You did it again, Kate, and he’s a beauty! Congrats to all of you and may Mr Michael be well soon and ready for Basi action. 🙂 xx

  6. Congratulations! Welcome baby Michael! I will be praying for you both – swift recoveries and perfect healing. 🙂 Blessings!

  7. Welcome to the world, little Michael. May he have the health to appreciate the joy in life, and the wisdom, kindness and strength to follow his path.

Congratulations, Kate. We wish you happiness and much patience!

  9. Best wishes, Kathleen. Your baby was born on the feast of St. Andrew the Apostle. He not only has St. Michael the Archangel as his patron, he has St. Andrew to watch over him, too. That’s a lot of power. He looks darling and if he remains as active as he was in the womb, you will certainly have your work cut out for you. His patrons will come in very handy.

    1. 🙂 You know, I was looking through all the December feast days and when it came down to November 30th I never remembered to go looking again. Christian had suggested Andrew as a middle name. Too bad!

  10. You had your baby! Congratulations!! I’m just catching up on all your posts now & trying to figure out the order. Praying for you & for Michael that his stay in the NICU is short. I’m sure that’s not how you envisioned his arrival. But I’m sure in no time he’ll be strong and ready to greet the world. Congrats again & take care of yourself & that beautiful baby! Sending hugs across the miles…

  11. Congratulations! I hope he graduates from NICU in short order. I
can’t believe you are blogging already! –Aunt Rosie
