I missed last week’s Sunday Snippets, as Christian and I were enjoying a weekend away from the kidlets, so here’s two week’s worth of musings to share:
Learning to accept being “average” in a world where excellence is the prize…
Reflecting on the beautifully complex ways in which God speaks to us through the people we meet and the day-to-day influences we experience…
Thoughts on national health care, and why the gut reaction to oppose it oversimplifies a deeply complex issue…
An interview with Kimberly Hahn on helicopter parenting…
And finally, some thoughts on happiness and parenthood.
Wow. I really did have “so much to say, so little time” these last two weeks!
Thats why we love you! You are so wise.
Love the thoughts on happiness and parenting and on accepting ordinariness. Universal issues! Interestingly, there was an article in Wall Street Journal this past week about how more affectionate parents have healthier children 30 yrs down the road. I wonder if the researchers did a corollary study to find out why some parents are more affectionate and if those parents also were happier and healthier.
