This was supposed to be a crazy busy week full of deadlines, so when I saw that the writing prompts for Mama Kat’s Pretty Much Famous Writers Workshop this week included “advice to new mothers,” I decided that it was time to link to the essay that remains one of my favorite things I’ve ever written.
