I’ve been missing from Ruth’s roundup for a couple of weeks…it’s been an absolute zoo, so I’m sharing for the last several weeks now (hope you’ll forgive me!)
The first part of Advent was crazy with interviews for my book. One of these interviews resulted in a writer mama moment that you might appreciate. Then I talked about using the Advent calendar to organize the season’s busyness, and shared pictures of our first week.

At the end of the second week of Advent, which I absolutely overscheduled in clueless violation of my own Advent guidelines, I had a stress-induced crisis, which turned me into an Advent Zombie. As the week went on, I pulled out of it by reflecting on it …one post at a time. And this week, my Advent reflection was on service, and teaching children that faith is expressed by works.

I loved learning about the Chrismons. What a great family project. There’s no end to what you can do with them. You could even take plain Christmas ornaments and paint Chrismons on them.
